I've been tasked with generating a report that shows only specific interfaces and their utilization over the past month during business hours and days only. Seems straight forward with the web report writer but where it gets tricky is the per timezone requirement. Throwing in a custom property to indicate what datetime to look at means I'm having to do SQL/SWQL work. Pouring over the InterfaceTraffic table I'm seeing the weight column and it's confusing me as to how that's calculated and how to handle that with regards to the data being averaged by Orion. Does anyone have an explanation on how to handle the averaging using the weight column or an example report that shows how to handle this? I'd also take the full report if someone has already noodled through this before.
